The Advanced Art class is to develop quality artistic skills through the use of focused studio time and reflective practice. Your level of success will be based on participation and a willingness to push yourself to learn more on your own.

Bathroom use is permitted, please arrive at class first so I can do attendance and ask to go. Here is the rule: Go directly to the bathroom and return to class when finished.
Cell phones are allowed under these circumstances ONLY:
Using as a music device only.
No headphones in ears or around neck, entering my room or while I am talking prior and during class.
On the days that I identify as studio time, you will have the option of listening to your music as long as I cannot hear the music, AND you are able to respond to me calling your name in a normal volume voice.
I will provide materials for your use in the art class.
If you are mishandling anything like, not cleaning or returning where you found them, or deliberately breaking or misusing items, or if there is a safety concern, you will have to provide your own supplies. I will contact a parent or guardian with both an email and phone call follow-up if this situation happens.
There may be times you need extra time for your work in the art room. With my permission you may be able to extend your studio time into the 7th and 9th period. No friends please, this is offered as a courtesy for extra time on task, not a place to "hang out and chill."
